Resin 3.1
Quick Start

Quick Start

You can start using Resin by simply expanding the archive, and starting Resin with a Java command line.

Resin Web Server

This document describes how to install and run Resin "standalone" (without Apache or IIS).

Resin provides a reliable, fast Web server which can also be used as a load balancer. In our benchmarks, it serves static pages faster than Apache. For most sites, Resin is ideal because of its performance, security and reliability.

Apache

Resin provides a fast servlet runner for Apache 1.3 or greater, allowing Apache to run servlets and JSP files.

IIS

For sites requiring the use of IIS, Resin provides a fast servlet runner, allowing IIS to run servlets and JSP files.

Plugin Dispatch

When used with another web server, Resin serves JSPs and Servlets and the other web server serves static content like html and images.
